I get many comments. From time to time - here as comments for posts. From time to time comments in the fan page. Most of comment I receive are in private - at private messages in Facebook (to my profile or in the fan page of the blog), some face to face. I still can say that the only bad thing I've been told was private and from the same one person. He started to write his own flamenco blog something like in the same time that I did. I guess that he's just jealous cause mine is better and reach more people.
Many comments I received were from people who told me they read it and like it, at least some parts of it. Many times people just said it's a good one. It's a great complement for me, mostly it sometimes comes from people I didn't know before. Recently someone wrote in a Facebook group as a comment to a link for the blog it contains an interesting information. And after all - if someone thinks it's good enough to check it from time to time - it's already a big thing for me.
When I started - there were few flamenco blogs, now the number of bloggers that write about flamenco is getting bigger and bigger with time. I still don't feel it as a contest. I know I have my own readers and I know that not only I can keep my readers - it looks like I have some new ones all the time. And anyway - if many people see it as important - it must be good. All those I saw till now - each blogger do it different. Many blogs are good. Instead of fighting it - I'm happy to see it. I can enjoy it. Few that I saw were boring in my eyes.
The only thing that a bit confuse me is a certain part of comments that I receive. There are some who write me that I don't write enough about some dancers, or that I didn't publish about a certain workshop. Well, about the dancers - I do my best to give the full attention to all dancers and musicians who I think are good. As far as there are many of them in flamenco - it happen from time to time that I give a bit more attention to some and I know that it looks like I forget others. It happen from time to time that I see myself something new about one of them that makes me remember that it was too long. I can understand where it comes from and I do my best NOT to get this point. But from the other hand - it shows me that some people really follow my blog and all I publish here. And if I miss any workshop or a show - you can open my eyes to it. I hate when it happens.
So, I guess I should recommend on some other blogs about flamenco which I think are good:
Tiempoflamenco (blogger: El Cuadro)
http://tiempoflamenco.blogspot.co.il/
Papeles Flamencos (blogger: David Pérez Merinero)
http://www.papelesflamencos.com/
The blog of La India
http://laindia-flamenco.blogspot.com/
And the blog of Niño de la Alfalfa
http://pfninodelaalfalfa.blogspot.co.il/
There are more good flamenco blogs, but for now... Three of them are pretty old and still work and worth checking. Maybe in future I'll add some more links for other bolgs. I am NOT about to stop writing and publishing! Just recommend on others as well.
