La vida es un romance - the premier

Maria Juncal has a new show called "La vida es un romance". As far as she comes many times to Israel for work and the producer of this show is Silvia Baro, the woman who brings her to Israel - Maria decided to do the premier at Tel Aviv, Israel. As far as I see it - it's a big honor. I went to see it. Yeah, just seeing without taking photos...

I was sure that I will meet at the crowed some people that I know. I've seen few, but not from "my" people. There was no publicity who's gonna perform with her, even I didn't know. So, I was surprised to see Jesus Corbacho outside while he was talking with a guy. I hate to admit that I didn't recognize with who did he talk with, but... Jesus Corbacho!!! I love him! I did think to ask for a photo with him. At the first moment I wasn't sure that it was a good idea because I don't know him personally, I just know that I know that I love him as a singer. And he was talking with someone, I was a bit afraid to disturb. Second thought - since when do I afraid of it? I always ask for a photo with flamenco artists from Spain if I really love their work. So I came. A bit confused in the start, but I made it. I told him that I love his sinning and I want a photo with him. He was really nice and accepted. The guy he was talking with took my phone for taking a photo. It looks like this:

The show itself:

It started with a surrealistic part. A white clear fabric hanged. Maria Juncal was dancing around it, but mostly inside the part it limited. The recorded music wasn't flamenco, the clothes she was wearing were fit more to sport than flamenco - including the shoes, the dance itself had some elements of flamenco, but it wasn't pure flamenco.

The second part gave the musicians to go into stage. Well, most of them. There were 3 singers, two came in. It has started with a long a capella sang by Jesus Corbacho. The others joined later. Another dancing part. I don't remember the palo, but this time Maria got back with flamenco shoes and clothes which more fit for flamenco. This part was pure flamenco and beautiful.

Music part and the third time that Maria was on stage. This time all were on stage. At this time - a guajira, a fan, a skirt which more Maria Juncal style than flamenco. The skirt was very elegant, but not really flamenco. The dance itself - divine. Two parts amazing by the singers - once all sang to her dancing, but without words and each one did it a bit different. A bit like sea waves. Second time - the same, but this time with words. Each one sang another letra at the same time. It sounded a bit like a "white noise", still amazing.

Chairs for the musicians moved to the middle. At the start - a solo for the singer Juan Carlos Trivino Tamayo who was standing while the others were sitting. A bit after he sat down - Maria came back with a black bata that a bit reminded me a raven, maybe it was needed to look this way. A solea. Were some moments that she was clear at the connection with the musicians and danced around the singers and really responded to them in a way that even people who don't know flamenco can understand. I love the place that the show took a part and Maria is amazing, but a thing of "the show must go on".... Near the  start of the solea - Maria was dancing near a light on stage. I don't know if her bata touched it. A moment after she got closer to the musicians - from the light came out some smoke that didn't need to be there. Two women who sat at the row before mine got into stress. The show went on like nothing happened, Maria was dancing and Jesus was sinning to her. It looked like a mystic moment form a horror movie about witches. I wasn't sure if to be amazed or be afraid. I guess I was more amazed. The smoke stopped by itself. A bit after that - Maria got near it again. Her bata made this light fall down, still on stage, but still.

The mistakes at the end didn't disturb. Crazy hand claps in the end. Half of the audience (the hall was almost full) stood up for it. After that few minutes to give Maria breathing and changing clothes. Some of the audience went away, but some like me stayed. After that the manager of this place made a conversation on stage with Maria Juncal (the star), Silvia Baro as the producer and Miguel Angel Rojas. Miguel wasn't on stage that evening till that moment. He came as a director of the show. After all were talking a bit - time for questions. There was a woman who asked about a different show of Maria, another woman didn't ask a thing but said that she moved that much from the show till she started crying. I couldn't take some real photos at the show (which is sad because I had so many photos at my head), but when the conversation happened - I took couple of photos with my phone

I hope that Maria will go on with this show for a long time. I hope that will be some photos of it. If I could take some....
