The "Flamenco Dance Day" is a whole day workshop in the dance studio of Pegasus Theatre, in central Oxford. The workshop will be taught by top Flamenco teacher Ollie Giffin (head of the UK's most prestigious and influential Flamenco school, Academy Flamenco).
This is a multi-level workshop, suitable for Flamenco dance students of all levels who have completed a minimum of one year's study (High level Improvers, Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced level dancers). The excellent price makes this workshop incredibly good value for money considering what you would pay for the same workshop in London!
The day’s programme will run from 10.30am - 5.30pm and includes:
warm up/stretch
general technique for arms, hands and body
studying different types of footwork
learning and using marking steps in choreography
studying palmas and using different forms of compás (both for palmas and for dance)
learning and using llamadas
entrances and exit steps in dance
a complete, original Bulerias choreography.
The day include 2 short breaks, a lunch break and a practice session in the studio.
This will be fantastic opportunity to learn with a top Flamenco teacher and we can't recommend this workshop strongly enough.

Pegasus Theatre is in central Oxford and very easy to access from Oxford train station (which has direct trains from all other major UK cities throughout the day). The dance studio has full length mirrors, a fully sprung floor and is bright and large. Pegasus has a cafe, changing facilities and a lounge area.
