A contest
Wish me luck... I found out about a photography contest. As an artist who do mostly photography - I had to try. 3 more days till end of the option to sent a photo. It's a worldwide contest, so it will be hard to win. In case you ask yourself why does it has a connection to a flamenco blog - I sent a photo that I took at Joselito recently. A photo of Oshy and Andreu Ilin, a photo that I already uploaded to here because of the connection

Energy needed
I can't remember when did happen in the last time that I came THAT tired and without energy to class. It does happen that I come tired, but this time... I guess that it's mostly because I'm after a week of being cold, and the fact I slept terrible most of time when I finally got to sleep last time. I saw the husband of the fat woman a bit before I got in. It was a bit disturbing. I forgot that his wife doesn't learn with me in the same class and I didn't feel like making him a pip show. After I got in and saw her in the medium level class - I got relaxed. I won't need to handle it. The guitar player was there. well... Maybe it's about time I'll say it's Andreu Ilin who's play to us. For him it's a bit more time to play and earn a bit more - a musical thing too (accept the bit money he et for this). Between classes - he told me something that sounds pretty sad to me. He said that the "neighbours" of Joselito has a problem to hear a bit live flamenco music at Fridays. Because of it - he and Oshy had to perform inside this Friday and it isn't sure anymore if they will go on there. I know that I prefer to hear live flamenco music and NOT to hear my neighbours.... The weirdest thing to me in this thing is the fact that I'm so many years in the flamenco, most of my friends - at least the closest to me - are in flamenco and even without being a professional I'm too aware to the scene here in Israel of flamenco. It's mostly in Tel Aviv (my city) and Jerusalem. Just because of it - it became too easy for me to forget that not all loves flamenco, not as I am. And HERE? In Tel Aviv? People don't want it? Ok, I do know that not all as I am, but this is a bit too much and too sad. Class has started. Not all came. The talented kido said that her friend who started this year won't come today because of a mess she had today. My friend, the nice one and the girl from Haifa came in a bit late. Did I say no energy? In the warming I received two fixings. Once that I do the step enough power. A bit later that I don't pull up a bit my skirt for it will be possible to see my legs. Not much after class has started - Neta asked how did "she" go without her shirt, "she" forgot her shirt. After a while Neta said it's her assistant. The assistant gave her shirt to Neta. From unknown reason - the shirt was on Neta's neck. I think that the assistant wanted to see me the less as possible (she doesn't speak with me and don't get too close for at least two weeks. Much better for me). And in the medium level class was a new one who came to see if she wants to. Neta talked with her between classes as she always do with new ones. Maybe soon two of last year will return. One of them... Oh dear! I won't be able to see myself in the mirror cause I will have to stay in her a$$ (in case she will return). The worming has over and the shirt of the assistant has moved over. So did the work of the air conditioner. I forgot that I'm NOT the only one who fights for it will work. The nice one started a fight that I'm not sure that I would start. My friend offered to send her to Spain (can I come too? why don't she send me?) for she will sweat in the studios there. The windows has been opened. Not enough for me, but freaked out the nice one more than it freaked me. Practice the alegria just like, at least what we have from it. And taking the shawls. Once with the shawls - accept the kido - all of us to put it aside again. When we took it back and made some more with it - I think that I stepped once or twice on it. I'm THAT tired and still not used to my new big shawl. I will have to take it to the seamstress again cause a little part has been open. In one brake I asked my friend what does she think about my new shawl. I know she doesn't like the color of the main part and I was a bit afraid from the answer. In the end - she said she likes it and asked me from where did I get it. I told her about the too much fabric I had that will become to an evening skirt accept the shawl. One more "like" for me... The only thing she had to say against was that my shawl isn't heavy enough and it must be hard to work with. Maybe she's right, but I like the way it is - even if it's a bit hard. The nice one freaked out from the heat till she didn't want her shawl on her in the last few minutes. For me it was at least a thing that made some wind on my face...

That's was today
Unlike me - I have no much to tell about today accept the fact that I love being in this situation. Yeah, I mean to lunch at Joselito with live flamenco music (and drink too much sangria). I came early for NOT missing a thing, accept the fact I didn't want to eat too long in front of their faces. I don't know if it's only me, but at home when I was much younger my family taught me that isn't respectable to eat in from of musicians and actors when they on stage, so I wanted to eat fast and mostly to drink something. Not many people... Only two girls outside. I got in to be sure I didn't have a mistake in place, time or day. I met inside Andreu who sat on the bar with his mobile phone. we just say "hi" and I asked a waitress where it gonna be - inside or outside. As you can see in the photos that I took and uploaded - you can know the answer. Got out to sit. They brought me a shot of sangria (on the house) with menu. Andreu came to sit and talk with me when he finished with the phone. I knew that he and Oshy performed there before, but I didn't know that it's on a base thing. When she came - she said hello to Andreu and he told her that I'm a dancer. I didn't say that I'm not, but I do it for fun and I guess that I'm far from being a professional dancer. I guess that for one who do it for fun - I dance better than others (although I don't see myself as the best). They went in to get ready while few more people came. Not many, but... It started near the hour 14:15. I never saw anything like this before, at least not in Tel Aviv and not as a part for tourists. It was fun to sit outside in this weather and get live flamenco music. I didn't know before ALL songs, but they made some that I know and love. From time to time people who walked in the street stopped to listen. Not much after they started and a bit after they started a song - someone stopped with his car and asked Oshy about a direction. Maybe she knows, but - hell, she's there to sing and they started a song! He didn't give up and asked her again and again even when she signed him that she can't answer NOW. After he finally got it that he won't get an answer NOW - he moved on. After a while I asked for more sangria, a full glass. So, after few days that I don't sleep enough, it the hour that I'm used to go for a siesta at Fridays got closer, and the sangria.... I started to feel like all I want is go to sleep. I didn't go yet cause I just enjoyed being there and I'm not sure when will I go there again, at least it has this music. Near the end - I started to feel dizzy. It was near the end. When they got up - Andreu told me it isn't the end, they go to a brake and they will return to another song. I said that I'm sorry but I'm not sure that I will stay for this part. Oshy thanked me for coming (sweet of her in my eyes). And I paid for lunch and the sangria and went. Yeah, I'm truly sorry for it, but I couldn't hold on more and just felt like "need my bed". And I knew it won't over for me just like this - photos will go down to my pc and to the net...

Friday noon at Joselito
So... Few months ago has been opened a new restaurant at Ahad Ha'am St. in Tel Aviv called Joselito. It has been opened by a Spanish guy with two Israeli partners. It's all in a Spanish style - starts in the food and ends in the flamenco music. Friday noon... I know it not always were them, but now every Friday - starts between the hours 14:00-14:15 live music by Andreu Ilin on the guitar and Oshy who sings. I can't always go to see it (going to eat/drink outside every week with all other reasons for me to spend money and lunch with my family at Fridays), but today - I went. From few reasons my family didn't have our traditional lunch together, so I let myself go to eat outside with live music. And the fact that I know Andreu Ilin personally... about Oshi - I "found her out" only recently and now I had the chance to see who she is and how does she sings. I know it's a weird thing to say, but... I guess that she's pretty nice person (Andreu introduce between us now), but I still not sure if I love the way she sings. Now I have little mix - I didn't sleep enough in the last few days and nights, I'm used to sleep at Friday' afternoons for years, and all the alcohol I drank now with lunch... My head is a bit dizzy and I wanna go to sleep. This is the only reason for my going away from there when Andreu and Oshi went for a brake. Now I will upload some photos I took there and it will go on later.
