And after the exhibition has over

As I told you - at March (2014) has been an exhibition which I took a part in as a photographer. This exhibition took a part at the city gallery of Shoham. As far as the curator (Rachel Ziv) knows me for a long time and knows my love to flamenco gave me the option to take some photos of flamenco to this exhibition. The subject was blooming - at nature or at the soul of artists. For me flamenco makes my soul to bloom. The curator said that I understood her well when I told how much it fits me.

So, as I told you before - I took some photos of Ilan Miller for that. Yeah, some of you will say that it isn't such a problem cause he's my friend. There is something in it but not to the end. The fact he's a professional dancer and fact he's a good friend of mine (one of my best) helped the photos look great. People who knows my earlier work said that I got better with those photos. But it was still a bit a problem to find some time for that which will fit both of us and will give a good light, and all before the crazy time he got into before the rehearsals to the upcoming festival/

As far as the exhibition was over, I didn't mind that now he will start to publish the photos at Facebook or so... I hope that I'm NOT taking a risk by publishing myself the photos here (don't forget that I'm the photographer, it was taking a part at an exhibition, no sign on the photos accept my style...If you want to use it you will have to ask me first). Here are the photos I took of Ilan to the exhibition:

The photos has been taken by me at the Tel Aviv port

After the exhibition

So here it is:

I missed a class in the studio of Mijal without my will, but it was for a good cause. The opening night of the exhibition "Blooming - nature and art". The blooming made as nature or at the souls. At my case - I let it be the blooming of my soul. Yeah, last years flamenco takes a big part of my blooming, a part which only grow bigger with time.

I took some photos of Ilan for that, three of them took "my place" on this gallery's walls. It isn't the first time that I'm taking a part in group exhibition at this gallery. They have a certain curator who do all their exhibitions for the last 5 year and probably will go on for much longer. I came to her 2 year ago and we work together a lot since, most of time at this gallery. Her name is Rachel Ziv.

I received many complements. Accept missing a class I was only sorry for Ilan couldn't come.

I add here couple of photos: the way the photos looks like at the gallery (it will stay there till end of March), me next to the photos and with the curator

And in case you will be able to come this March - here's the
invitation again:

The big day has come

Sadly, when I finally can mix between museums' art and flamenco - Ilan won't be able to come to the opening night. I could pick him up but he's at work all time. This time he's not only my friend, this time I see him as my partner for work, so...

Another week and a half from now

In another week and a half will be another opening of an art exhibition that I'm taking a part at. I'm really thrilled from it. This time (through me) it will have a mix of two things which I really love - art and flamenco. I know, other artists made it before, but it's the first time that I do this mix.

I should thank the curator Rachel Ziv for letting me do it
and a special thanks also to Ilan Miller who accepted to be my model for my camera

You're invited

I know, not all about flamenco, but I made a flamenco spot at this exhibition. The invitation is a bit different from the original (it took me some time to find out the difference). So, the curator (Rachel Ziv) knows me well and accepted that I will take some photos of flamenco for this exhibition. Thanks to that - will be at the exhibition 3 photos I took of Ilan at flamenco poses, with and without his castanets.

The subject of the exhibition is blooming - at nature and or internal. In many cases flamenco made huge blooming to my soul.

You are all invited this March to the city art gallery of Shoham

The invitation

OK, so this is the next art exhibition that I'm taking a part at. I got a "green light" to take photos of flamenco for that. I took some photos of Ilan - with and without castanets. Three photos I took of him will be at the gallery as a part of exhibition.

See you there!

The exhibition

I don't remember if and when did I tell about it here:

Accept flamenco I do some art, mostly photography. I don't upload here many photos that I take from shows because my camera is limited with functions and not good enough for shows. Still it's good enough for other things till I took a part in quite a lot of shows so far, a thing which started after getting deeply into flamenco. I took art as a hobby till flamenco, after I got my bravery to take art as a bigger thing in my life.

The reason that I tell about it because of an upcoming exhibition  that I'm about to take a part in. It will take a part in the municipal art gallery of Shoham (it's a place between Jerusalem and the international airport of Israel). I took a part in many exhibitions there at the last two years. This time won't be much different - the same gallery, same curator, I won't be the only artist but will show more than one photo I took. The real difference will be the flamenco which will show from my work in flagrant. The curator knows that I'm into flamenco and said that I can bring this exhibition photos I took of flamenco and so I did. The concept of the exhibition fit to what flamenco means in my life - it's all about blooming and growing up.

As taking photos of flamenco - recently I was meeting Ilan at the Tel Aviv's port and we worked. I took some photos of him at the open air with and with his castanets. I didn't count, but it became 70 photos or so. From that I choosed some which I think are good enough photos for showing. Next part was letting him confirm which photos he accept I will publish from the good ones. I sent to the curator the confirmed photos which lest (less than 10). Today I had a final conversation with the curator about the photos which will get to the gallery's walls. Three photos has been chosen. This curator always makes the invitations for the group exhibitions with a work of each artist. I already know which of the three will take a part on the invitation, a thing which I usually knows at the publishing.

I will upload to here the invitation when it will be ready. Of course - because of the flamenco side. And of of course you all can see yourselves as  invited
