Upcoming at London

MIGUEL ESPINO (LEVELS 2 & 3 TECHNIQUE & LEVEL 2 BULERIAS) 
Miguel commenced his dance training with Federico Casado ‘Caracolillo’ whom he considers his true teacher. At 16 years old he joined the Ballet Nacional de España where he worked for 5 years becoming a soloist. Whilst in the company he performed in many wonderful choreographies by Antonio, José Granero, Alberto Lorca and Mariemma. His professional career then took him off to many parts of the world as leading dancer in festivals, theatres and operas. He has performed with numerous well-known dancers such as Joaquin Ruiz, Lola Greco, Antonio Canales, Javier Barón and Elvira Andrés. He formed his own company Miguel Ángel España Ballets and has choreographed several works for it. He worked extensively with the late choreographer Rafael Aguilar and besides being the lead male dancer he was manager of the company. In 1987 he was awarded the ‘Premio Navicella’ (artistic activity to dance) and in 1992 the ‘Leonide Massine al Merito en la Danza’, both in Italy. Miguel currently continues to perform and teach worldwide. Since 2004 Miguel has been a guest teacher for SDS courses in the UK, Greece and Malta. Miguel is noted for his clear teaching and patience. Undoubtedly participants will benefit from his superb classes. The SDS would like to welcome him to the UK!
