I think I'm gonna die. I came to class at last moment. Few girls who I didn't know if they noticed me before said "hi". End of class of the advanced with the guitar player. I got up to the balcony. First shock: the man from the studio of Neta was there. Yeah, the same one who I almost killed before the show has started cause he had to fix me all the time and blamed me that it's me who fix him all the time.... I changed as fast as I could. When it came to wearing my dance shoes - the other class has finished.
When I was ready I got down to the studio itself. One of the girls asked me if I remember the dance. I said that still not well. She said it's because I came in the middle. Till this part she was right, this is one of the reasons. She said that she doesn't remember and I shouldn't ask her. By the way she fit more the class that comes after, the easier one. She takes this class for a challenge. Why don't I take the easier one? Does this class really my level or do I take it as a challenge too? This is my level. Maybe it's hard to see, but after all the years that I dance... She said that I should take the easier class. It would help me. Yeah, right...! Who the f**k is she that she say that? Do I really need a class that the girls there in a level of asking what to do with the hands cause they can't figure it out alone? I made my try on this class and it was boring! And just what I need - one more alegria.... Like I didn't have enough alegria.... This palo wasn't made for me.
The class has started in a little late more than the cigarette brake. The guitar player got back to his place and started to play. We started a long hands' warming. I looked at the man if he handle it. Most of time he did, but in the parts which is different from the way Neta do it or at moments that Mijal let us do it alone - he just stood there and didn't do much accept looking.
We moved to legs' warming while the guitar player was looking without playing. I don't say that I do it perfect, but each class in this studio I figure out better the idea of how does it go there and it become easier. This time Mijal didn't fix me even once, not even when I thought that I don't it good enough. There was a step that Mijal said over and over again to keep the legs together and not taking each leg too far from the other one. After few times and after all the girls did as she said - Mijal fixed the man. She said that he do it too much in a Charlie Chaplin style. She showed how did he do it and called it "Charlie Chaplin". After that she showed how does it suppose to look like. Later on the girl next to me has been fixed. How does this step starts? The girl asked if she mean to which leg. Mijal said that she mean to philosophical way,existenial way... No, she doesn't mean to leg, she mean to the way. Few made a try to help and Mijal asked them NOT to. The girl still didn't know. Mijal showed how does it need to be done. We worked on it and the other steps it comes with. After a while Mijal asked us to do it to the other side with the legs. I changed also the leg that start the step that made the problem to the girl next to me. I noticed that not all did so, at least most didn't. Mijal stopped us for asking which leg start it now. Before anyone answered - Mijal said and showed it.
Water brake and working on the siguiryia. For a start working on a part which is pretty new, a part which we started to work on at my "official" first class of siguiryia at this studio. It includes the steps which Mijal told me that I do the start well, the rest not so much. We worked slowly step by step. So, now the part that I didn't do so well started to be more clear in my mind and became easier to my body.
Moving on to dance all the siguiryia. First time didn't work out for me so well. The part we were working on earlier I made well, but I made some mistakes in other parts. Once I even took my time to move... The man hardly made anything accept the part we were working on earlier. Second time felt better. I looked more at the others for the parts which I still couldn't remember well. The man was looking from the side and joined in the end for the part of earlier.
The guitar player has finished for this time. We started to work on some new steps. After a while of practice - the man had something to ask. I thought that my ears are burning. It isn't his first year (although I still learn more years than he does), and he had this palo all year at the studio of Neta. He must know about beats of flamenco, mostly when it's one that he already knows. He asked if there is a meaning for when we do the steps and the beat with it.... And this man had to fix me about this palo.........!
