Those classes...

This time - no mistakes with sleeping or getting there before class starts. Before I got into the studio I met Ilan. We came in the same time from different places. That was good cause we had things to finish between us. In the studio itself - in the moment that I pulled up my bags Neta asked me if I didn't get too much on time. No. Those minutes are for changing clothes. Before I moved on - the beginners had their end of class. Our class has started. Almost all, but few came a bit after. At least the assistant didn't come. The ballerina made a try in the start to dance over my feet and a moment after - somehow she took the place that I danced on. I found myself again in her a$$.... The bimbo came a little late, almost made the same, but at least she have some more manners from the ballerina. From the first moment that she saw that she got too close - she took some space. A lot of warming. And then - the dramatic part. Neta asked us if we know how does go the beat of siguiryia. We started a bit to do the palmas before she asked Ilan to come to the front for he will teach us the palmas while she fill her bottle with more water. As usual - even in this thing he made me laugh. Just the signs that he do when he teach. I don't think he took my respond too bad. When Neta got back she started to say that she saw something different about Ilan and didn't know what it is, now she noticed - he got thinner and looks taller because of it. Someone said that he became too thin. The ballerina said in a ridiculous way that Ilan is so poor - he's blushing. Then we learned few steps of siguiryia. Didn't take too long till I was on the target. Neta said that I'm the only one who's smiling and all the rest are so serious. The way she said it sounded like she prefer the smile. Oh my... I didn't even notice that still smiled. I know that it doesn't fit to siguiryia but I couldn't help it. It was a moment after Ilan made me laugh and still in a moment that I finally have a bite of siguiryia. Old readers knows that I never really danced siguiryia before and I hate the idea that after all the years that I dance - I never had the chance to really learn this palo. Some circles in the place and then - time to choose how to go on from here. Even that this class don't includes a real dance and it's more on technique - many asked if we will still have anything to show in the end of year. The weirdo said that she will be in the place of "can't do anything". She didn't even understand why do we speak on end of year in November. I said that till the end of year every one gets all. She said that I shouldn't be worry, she don't go to dance on stage in the end of year for 3-4 year. I don't worry...! So we will do a thing between a practice and a dance, a difficult one. It will happen with music of one show of Joaquin Cortes. The snobbish woman came and looked. The bimbo offered her to join us, but the snobbish didn't want to. We have a start for end of year, and end of this class. Next one. Working some more on buleria. Neta asked us to remind each in turn some steps of buleria. I was the second. Last week I didn't come and this time came tired. It took me a little time till I could remember anything. After a while of practice - standing in a circle. All of us do palmas and sing while each one in a turn have to practice alone some of steps. I have to admit that the snobbish one (who was first) made it pretty good although she had few "holes". I was the second one again. I made a try to look like I'm sure in myself, but the once that I didn't come was enough to ruin it. Once again I hardly could remember anything and I made a great try to think of doing SOMETHING. When I started - Neta was busy in taking a chair. Didn't really help me to think... I made something. I don't remember if it was in this moment that she asked me to start again or in the drill after cause she didn't see. I wasn't perfect, but Neta said it was better. Ilan made it great. The bimbo didn't was to do it, but made a start of a try. The one who I start to like was too afraid cause what will happen if she make a mistake. Neta said it's about to kill yourself. Flamenco is to give all of yourself. She told again about a dancer that they used to dance together. I heard this story many times before but never remember the name of the dancer. Terrible cause I see it myself now as a point of view of how does dancer give themselfs on stage and how much it's possible to see it as an audience. So now I can say it's Biatris Martín (I hoe that I write her name right). They used to perform together at a show by Bernarda Alba' House. Biatris had a part that she was sitting on the stage and scratching it. Neta said it was every evening for 6 weeks and every evening in the show Biatris was start to bleed, really bleed from her fingers in this part. And the blood - came because she gave herself THAT much on stage. It made the impact and the girl made her try. The weirdo was last. Nothing to tell about. One more try. This time - with a recorded music for we won't get used too much for the same song that comes in the same way. Once again - the snobbish wasn't too bad. I had in my entrance a little part that Neta wasn't sure she get me. This part was a part that I couldn't really think and took me little while to dance again. Few points that I wasn't sure and once that I wanted to do a thing too soon. Neta signed me. It was a kind of help, but accept of signs - I made it. Ilan was great. The three others needed more than signs. Neta made it with them. And something new for this class. We started with new palos. Neta said that we will go on with the buleria all year for we won't forget, but it will be from now on with other palos as well. So we learned some steps that fit to alegria and fit to solea. Neta let us her something and asked us what it is. No one made a mistake - it was a solea. We made a try to dance those steps with solea. And the music has changed and we made a try with an alegria. For the end - Neta asked us to make a mix with things we learned and make it on solea/alegria. In couples. First couple - me and the snobbish has been chosen to do it on alegria. We started with palmas for letting all know the beat. After all joined us - we stopped the palmas and started to dance. The second couple that has been chosen - Ilan and the weirdo. The weirdo didn't want to, but after a promise that Ilan will lead - she accepted. They made it on a solea. I mean - Ilan made it and she was a copycat. Last couple has been asked to do the same on a solea por buleria - a thing that made the bimbo even more stressed. In the end of class I went out with Neta and Ilan. Ilan probably came tired as well cause he started to behave weird. So far I heard that because of there are two choices to invite tickets for the show of Saturday with Neta - it's possible to see like the hall is more full than it is. Later on after I said goodbye I met again the one who I start to like with the weirdo. We had a very interesting conversation about levels of flamenco teacher. And they had some ideas that I like about having some more of practice...
