Spanish Fantasy

Once again - I had a big drama to come. Didn't disturb to come on time, meet one of the Facebook girls, hug with her, found out that this time there is a program which I can get near the tickets' office of Suzanne Dellal, meet there the other Facebook girl, get my place on time... The show has started two minutes or so after I took my seat.

For a start - most of women of the show made a dance with a choreography by Sharon Sagui. It was very impressive. Although I already saw before dances which are more complicated and can look better - the fact it had so many women on stage which made it, and the fact it was... OK, so I use again the word "cute" on flamenco. Near the end joined the men (Ilan Miller and Igaely Yehuda) and the few women who still haven't been on stage. it looked like a beautiful mess till they made it in some like a round. I mean to the part with the photos I uploaded earlier.

A music part. Ofir Atar and Maayan Doari were playing (guitar and cajon). Yael Horwitz was sinning. The musicians of this show... Of course, I don't need to describe much. With musicians like this it's hard to miss and it sound great.

Next part was a siguiryia performed by Adi Akiva (I heard that she made the full choreography although at the program it tells that the girls with her has a part in it as well), Inbal Cohen who performed pregnant, Adva Yermiyahu and Michal Bratt. Four of them at velvet dresses. It looked amazing. While they were dancing I started to wonder if there is something like "too much flamenco". For now I still think that the answer is "no, flamenco is great for breathing".

Next was a garrotín. It's an oldie one and made with recorded music although the wonderful musicians on stage. THe dancers were Hadas Nestel and (I hope that my spelling in English of their names is good) Noa Barnea, Inbal Barnea and Lior Shem-Tov. A dance with hats, one was red and others black. This difference of colours had a use near the end. It was fun to see it because it had a lot of humour at the choreography and performing. Still it didn't look like pure flamenco.

Next was solea por buleria. The dancers were Carmel Natan and Or Feldman. The live music came back, but it was difficult to me. For my opinion the dance itself was weak and the dancers didn't amaze me.

Next came the farruca performed by Ilan Miller, Hadas Nestel and Igaely Yehuda. Three of them dressed in black. Hadas also was wearing pants. After a while I noticed that Igaely's shirt isn't enough black (it was pretty transparent). OK, so maybe I'm a bit biased but it was one of the best parts of this show. The weirdest part that a moment after they came up to stage - a man behind me felt like he need to say loud it's two men and a woman. NO!!!

After that a short part of sonrisas. Recorded music and castanets. The dancers - Noa Barnea, Inbal Barnea and Lior Shem-Tov. It wasn't bad but I didn't fall.

Next was a solea danced by Sharon Sagui. Her technique is good but it had no soul. Her face didn't move like she felt nothing. It looked a bit like legs' drill because it took her most of the dance till she used her hands. Near the end came to stage Tania Vinokur with a violin, It became like a dialogue between them. Tania was playing a bit on the violin and Sharon "answered" with a dance. At this part Sharon used all body. At this part it started to look look. After a while Sharon went to the other palmeras (most of show it were Sheron with Adva and Michal). Tania dressed too sexy for this - includes a skirt with a huge cleft and a corset was playing with Ofir and Maayan. She turned the stage, from time to time show out her leg out of the cleft. It could be cool if it wasn't this way. The other problem was that it wasn't flamenco. At the middle Tania took off the violin and danced a bit, never mind she was wearing boots and not flamenco shoes. After a letra or two she took back her violin to play.

Next - an alegria with mantons. Well, at least started and finished with mantons. In the middle there was a big part without. The dancers were Eve Rosenbloom, Hagar Koren and Shelly Almog. Never mind it's an alegria which I need to see an amazing dancer to like it - something didn't work out. At the middle one of them started to make a funny face which didn't over till the end. A moment later she took off the flower from her hair in an aggressive way and threw it up. OK, like it isn't enough we're talking about an alegria...

Fin la fiesta. All on stage. Each group of dancers made a little part. Hadas who took a part in two groups made it with the men. Fin la fiesta was nice by most of them.

After that I ran to the dressing rooms. I was the first to snick inside, have the photos with Ilan and my friend. By the way I heard some news about a show in June. It's a show that I already know about and will come, but I was the first to hear about a little change there. I'm not sure that I can tell yet. After that I was waiting for Ilan. We went together with our friend, the snobbish woman and her daughter and another friend of Ilan who isn't from the flamenco to eat lunch. Between those - I made to meet his sister and nieces and offer to take a photo of them. They took this offer
