I came running just for being sure that I won't be late. Near the office I met Idit. She said that I full in energy. I told her that I don't because of the sleeping hours which I don't have. And first try with this palo. I told her that I think I may make a fool of myself. I got in to pay. Moved to the studio. Although there was no much more time - near the studio was Idit with one girl who I know through workshops. This girl wasn't in a polite mood. Inside the studio Adva organized the place for the learning. That's it. I asked her to give up for me this time on trying to dance solo. She asked me why. Again - not enough sleeping, first time with this palo, I'm about to make a fool of myself.
Slowly the other girls came. the bimbo who I know through Neta's studio (this year she learn more but in another studio), the Facebook girls, one more girl who I know from years ago through Neta's studio and learn now in another one and I still see her from time to time at workshops, the mousy girl who I know through the last workshop of Adi.... One of the Facebook girls gave me a kiss on my cheek when she saw me. I was talking more with her friend and the bimbo. The girl with no manners sat next to me and made a try to kill a mosquito. It made few jokes. Idit called Shuky. When he came after time we started the class.
This time we were 7 girls who came to dance, first time that none of the guitar players came. This time at the part of information Idit gave a lot of information which was new to me. I guess it's because she has a lot knowledge and there are other palos which I know better. It was very interesting but at few parts I found out it's hard for me to listen - only because it's almost weekend, I came after two crazy days and one night which I hardly had the chance to sleep. It took some time till Idit let Shuky to join the giving information.
The videos part has started with few minutes from a movie with Carmen Amaya, can't remember the name of movie but it has been filmed at 1936 and went out to the cinemas at 1939. It went on to few minutes from a show. Again - don't remember the name of the guys although their names ring a bell. It was a show of homage for Pilar Lopez. Next was a video of Paco Toronjo. I didn't know him before. Went on to a part from another show - this time Farruquito and his family. Idit said something about the smile of the bimbo. Of course, now she learn at a studio of copycats from Los Farrucos.... The bimbo didn't like that all look at her. This video looked very familiar. For the end - Arcangel sings fandango de Huelva. By the way Idit had few things to tell abut Arcangel, some were funny.
We moved work on palmas and to sing a letra of fandango de Huelva. We've been tokd it's for the best cause it's the easiest for dancers. Adva had few jokes on the guitar players who didn't come but Shuky is about to go with them.
Few minutes brake.
We worked a lot on steps. It looked like the non manners girl made a try to take my space. The record was at on part that Adva danced with her face to us, this gurl stood next to her with face to us and danced to my front..... the worst thing was that she has a lot of nose. A guitar player came on his bicycle. He didn't come to learn. He took his bicycle inside in a way which made a problem to get my stuff if I wanted. I'm not sure but I think that I know who he is.
Shuky got back. He played to us. The other guitar player did too, but not much. Because this time none of the guitar players came to learn - we still danced mostly to the mirror. Near the end Adva asked us to dance to Shuky.
We moved to solos. After all made theirs - Adva persuaded me that we'll do it together. I was pretty cruel in the way I accepted. I'm still not sure I was too good. She asked me one more round. Fine... I thought it will help me in the second round of all. No, only me and the mousy left for a second try. Adva persuaded me again we;ll do it together. Twice. The good thing was that all looked like they miss a thing or two. Or more.
After class was over I hardly took my stuff because of the bicycle. The girl with the nose was in the middle too. Adva and Idit said that next time will start early for it will be possible to have some time to make a fiesta after class for whoever wants. The fiesta will be for free and even people who won't come to the workshop are invited.
